Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, has announced a batch of Aerosmith reissues for Record Store Day 2014, celebrated at independent record stores worldwide on Saturday, April 19th.
The four classic 12" LPs, individually numbered on 180-gram audiophile vinyl, include:
Rocks - 12" 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket - Aerosmith’s 1976 classic Rocks captures Aerosmith at the band's most raw and rocking, featuring 'Back In The Saddle' and 'Last Child'.
Draw The Line - 12" 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket - Aerosmith's 1977 release Draw The Line responded to then-emerging punk with a full-on straight-ahead hard rock assault, wrapped in an iconic cover art by American caricaturist Art Hirschfeld.
Night In The Ruts - 12" 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket - 1979's Night In The Ruts includes 'No Surprize', which recounts the band’s early history, as well the driving 'Chiquita', the jamming 'Three Mile Smile', the furious 'Bone to Bone', and a pair of covers: YARDBIRDS’ 'Think About It”'and the novelty number 'Reefer Head Woman'.
Rock In A Hard Place - 12" 180-gram audiophile vinyl LP in an individually numbered jacket - Originally released in 1982, Rock In A Hard Place is the only album in Aerosmith history to not include guitarist Joe Perry. The band still created world-class rock as evidenced in the title track as well as 'Prelude to Joanie', 'Lightning Strikes', 'Jailbait', 'Bitch’s Brew', and 'Bolivian Ragamuffin'.
