Greek webzine Rockpages.gr has issued an interview with Anneke van Giersbergen, former THE GATHERING singer who now fronts AGUA DE ANNIQUE. The following is an excerpt:
Q: This album is a self-production. What about a label for promotion, etc? Are you planning to proceed the same way in the future?
A: "Yeah, I’m not sure… but I like having things in my hands and, well, it might sound a bit silly, but I like it to be a bit small, so I can look over the situation, because the main reason for me to release it, is to express myself and to make it exactly the way I wanted. If you are in a big label, they go like 'If you do a song like this and song like that, then we have a better chance for the record'… I didn’t want to think about it, I just wanted to do it. It’s all mine and it feels good… Of course, I hope to sell one million copies, but, if I don’t, I’m satisfied because my heart is in it…"
