ALL SHALL PERISH Makes History As First North American Metal Band Ever To Play Siberia
September 8, 2008, 16 years ago
ALL SHALL PERISH recently embarked on an unprecedented 10 day tour of the greater Russia area which included four shows in Siberia. The band made history by becoming the very first North American metal band to ever play shows in Siberia which included Irkutsch, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and Omsk. The only other metal groups to ever travel to this part of the world have been SOULFLY (Brazil) and SOILWORK (Sweden). The tour is a follow up All Shall Perish’s two extremely successful shows in St. Petersburg and Moscow in October of ‘07. All Shall Perish has been touring extensively in Eastern Europe and recently played one of the biggest shows of their career headlining the Metal Music Mission fest in Simervopol, Ukraine.
Drummer Matt Kuykendall was reached for comments:
“Eastern Europe, Russia and Siberia have shown us love that is unrivaled almost anywhere in the world. It is insane to go to places like Siberia and the Ukraine and hear people chanting your name so passionately and seeing every person in the crowd as hungry for a metal live show as I was at 18 years old.”A photos from the tour can be viewed at the left.
