On November 14th, Spark TV caught up with Amaranthe vocalist Elize Ryd. In the clip below she discusses the band's new album, Maximalism, the songwriting process, her friendship with Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy, and the departure of Amaranthe singer Jake E.
Amaranthe recently checked in with the following update:
"And thus the European leg if the Maximalism World Tour comes to an end, and we are back safe in our homes for a bit of rest.
Coming home from a great tour is always a mixed feeling - sleeping in a bed that does not move, having your own private space and the proximity of family and friends is of course a great advantage. But with that said, sharing the energy, the passion and the love for music each night with you wonderful fans and friends in the audience is the greatest privilege and profession anyone could ask for.
Your smiles, your singing along to each song, jumping up and down not only warms our hearts - it fuels this machine of positive energy named 'Amaranthe'. So each and everyone of you who came to one of our shows in Europe, thank you. You make it clear that this is not all about us band members, our vision and our art - it is what we share together that is the power of Amaranthe - without you, it would all be meaningless.
A massive thank you naturally also goes out to the gentlemen in Sonic Syndicate - thanks for sharing the great times, the occasional hardships and for delivering a high octane killer show every night! It is a very rare thing to meet people who so genuinely mean well in all things! You are fully aware that we love you guys, so let's do this again soon!
Smash into Pieces - the respect we have for your hard work, incredible music and the weight that you have carried to be able to do this tour is humbling indeed. Our love and our blessings go out to you, and we also know this is not the last time we do this!
Last but certainly not least; Tommy, Nakke, Erik, Maffe, Simon - our amazing crew, without you none of this would be possible - literally! And of course supporting crew, Paula, Micke, Jessika! THANK YOU!"
