The Flying V Documentary YouTube channel has released a new interview with Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott. He talks about his Flying V signature, life on the road, composing music, guitars and amps, and the music business.

Amott on his formative years:

"As far as inspiration goes for my music and guitar playing, it basically starts with my parents' record collection, which is classical music, jazz, blues. It starts from there. I quickly developed my own taste in music and really got into heavy metal, punk music, anything that my parents wouldn't like, I guess, and I'm still there (laughs). I'm still doing the heavy and extreme stuff for the most part, but I like to do my heavy music with a lot of soul ands a lot of melody."

Three of Sweden's most iconic metal bands - In Flames, Arch Enemy and Soilwork - are teaming up for a European co-headline tour dubbed the Rising From The North. The tour promises an unforgettable night of Swedish metal mayhem.
