BARREN EARTH - Debut Album In The Works

Finnish metallers BARREN EARTH - featuring Mikko Kotamäki (SWALLOW THE SUN, EMPYREAN BANE - vocals), Olli-Pekka Laine (MANNHAI, CHAOSBREED, ex-AMORPHIS - bass), Kasper Mårtenson (VENHO - keyboards), Janne Perttilä (RYTMIHÄIRIÖ, MOONSORROW session player - guitar), Marko Tarvonen (MOONSORROW - drums) and Sami Yli-Sirniö (KREATOR, WALTARI - guitar) - have issued the following update:
"Yes, that's right: we started recording the new album on June 26th at Seawolf Studios (Viapori, Helsinki) with engineer Jukka Varmo. Most of the recording is now done, and Kasper is currently laying down the keyboard parts at Jive Studios.Later this month, the songs will be shipped to Sweden, to be mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö. There'll be news about the label, release date and other stuff in near future (we hope)."
