news life in black behemoth

Polish black metallers BEHEMOTH have posted a new teaser trailer for the video 'Prometherion' shot by acclaimed director Soren (ALL THAT REMAINS, UNEARTH). The clip is a frenetic, savage performance based video that perfectly showcases the band?s unrelenting energy and uncompromising vision. Head to this location to view the 33 second clip.

Behemoth frontman Nergal comments on the new video: ?I expect this to be an incredible video. Soren did an incredible job. I really love working with people who are so serious about what they do. I?m really happy with all the videos we did for the previous album, but this time I wanted to make sure we took a different approach. We decided to pick up one of the most intense songs from The Apostasy to promote this record. If we did opposite, and chose a mid tempo, radio friendly one it?d be exactly what we did for the Demigod album cycle. With The Apostasy we are making a clear statement about what this band is all about: to bring danger and evil back to the music! I bet the video for ?Prometherion? will undoubtedly prove that. Enjoy the trailer for now, and get ready for the final version soon. It will dominate!?

As previously reported, Behemoth have now undoubtedly proved that they are one of the leading forces in metal today as their new album, The Apostasy, debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. This entry also marks Century Media's fifth highest Billboard Top 200 debut.

This is a phenomenal feat for a band of this caliber and a further testament to their undying work ethic over the past few years throughout the US. The band will return to North America on a massive co-headlining tour this fall; details will follow in the coming weeks.

Nergal states: "I just received a phone call from our label telling me that we debuted at #149 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Well, let me say that this is not only a huge day for us, but for extreme metal as a whole. When we were arriving to the US shores 4-5 years ago I would have never guessed that we would end up on the Billboard charts. We've invested so much in this band throughout the years and it's great to see it result in something this massive. However, this amazing accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of our die-hard U.S. fans and the great Century Media staff who helped bring us to this level. I'm seriously thrilled beyond belief and this is just the beginning. Horns up!"
