They are the inventors of heavy metal, and set down the foundations for an entire genre with a pair of monumental releases in 1970. First, delivering their self-titled debut album Black Sabbath in June before cementing their legacy forevermore with one of the greatest sophomore records of all time, Paranoid, in September of the same year. It all culminated with a historic performance in Paris at the historic L'Olympia on December 20, 1970.
