BLACKGATES Sign To Dvs Artist Management

East San Francisco Bay Area/New York metal outfit BLACKGATES - featuring former ANTHRAX singer Dan Nelson, drummer Paul Bostaph (TESTAMENT, ex-EXODUS, SLAYER, FORBIDDEN), guitarist Jeremy Epp (THE VENTING MACHINE) and bassist Uriah Duffy (ex-WHITESNAKE) – have signed a management agreement with Dvs Artist Management to oversee the groups business affairs.
According to a press release the group is scheduled to enter an undisclosed studio in November to start pre-production on their forthcoming debut album.

Drummer Paul Bostaph previously released the following statement regarding the band’s musical direction: “Our sound is drawn from all of our influences. Mostly, we don't want to be a thrash metal band. Although, we draw from that genre as well. There is something in our music for everyone. Heavy grooves, good hooks and Dan's killer pipes. I think we have an independent sound that will stand on it own "
The band recently finished mastering its first demo, which the band recorded in the San Francisco Bay Area with producer Tim Narducci (SYSTEMATIC, SPIRALARMS).
