BLINDSIDE To Hit The Studio In September; New Album Due In Early 2010

Swedish rockers BLINDSIDE have issued the following update:
"Here is the news you have been waiting for …The new album by Blindside will be released worldwide in the first half of 2010. Recording will take place in Los Angeles in September with Grammy-nominated producer and longtime friend, Mr. Howard Benson.
Blindside will perform at two events in the states this year:
August
29 - Las Vegas, NV - Exit FestivalSeptember
5 - Albuquerque, NM - Freedom FestThere won’t be any other dates as all focus will go into the recording right now, but there are already plans for a full World Tour along with the release of the new album.
The reason we have not informed you or anyone else what we’ve been up to lately is simple: We wanted to have something really great to announce.
For the last 5 years it has been quite silent around this band. We have not disappeared from the face of the earth. Since our last full length album, The Great Depression, we have played in 5 different continents of the world. We’ve done tours with LINKIN PARK and AFI and we’ve played some of the biggest festivals in Europe.
We have had a great time exploring new places and making new friends. But we have also missed our dear friends in the US who made us what we are today.
Due to a label dispute we were not able to release the album we had planned for 2007. We spent the last two years refocusing on our family-life since we’ve
spent so much of the last 10 years being away on the road.
Last year we had a band-meeting about the future of the band. We decided that either we: a) quit, or b) make the best album of our career.
The result of 5 years of Blindside writing new music will be surfaced in early 2010. Be ready!"
