BRUCE DICKINSON Takes Part In Q&A Session At Launch Of North American Spoken Word Tour; Asked Risqué Question About Experiences With Groupies And "Grasping At A Telephone Pole"; Video

Bruce Dickinson launched the North American leg of his spoken word tour, An Evening With Bruce Dickinson, last night (January 17) at Parker Playhouse in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. BraveWords' full report will surface later today, but in the meantime, some fan filmed footage has appeared online.

The first clip was uploaded by "Adorable Eddie", who states: "January 17th, 2022 at The Parker Playhouse on the first stop of Bruce's 2022 North American Spoken Word Tour, I took a "long shot" asking Bruce a bit of a risqué question. Sometimes long shots do indeed pay off!"

YouTube user "Argyris Kravaritis" uploaded the clip below, in which Bruce is asked if Iron Maiden will ever perform the song "Alexander The Great", from the 1986 album Somewhere In Time, live in concert.

Split into two parts, the first section of the show sees Bruce taking a humorous and often satirical look at the world from his own very personal perspective, treating the audience to private insights into his drive and ambition, peppered with plenty of Maiden anecdotes, and a myriad of other experiences encompassing not just the giddy heights but also the extreme lows, told first-hand in his inimitable anarchic style, punctuated with photographs and sometimes even erupting into song a-capella, to illustrate a point.

The final section of the evening is devoted entirely to a Q&A session, with the opportunity to pose questions on any subject whatsoever. As Bruce’s answers will all be completely improvised – the more left-field and quirky the question, the more interesting and compelling the response is likely to be!
