BraveWords.com has received the following BUCKCHERRY update:
Eleven Seven Music has announced that Buckcherry, dubbed “the next great American rock band” will now be distributed through EMI Music domestically and internationally through The Eleven Seven Music Group’s new global deal. Eleven Seven Music was sole home to the band leading into their hit 'Crazy Bitch' which, along with their smash hit 'Sorry' spurred their album 15 to sell over a million copies.
Following a brief upstream deal, the band returns wholly to the Rock Label of The Year (2008, FMQB) and #1 Independent Rock Label (2008, Mediabase) with an enhanced version of their current CD, Black Butterfly which Entertainment Weekly called Album of the Year and iTunes critics picked as Best Rock Album.
This release includes a new track, 'Highway Star', the TNT NASCAR theme, added to Black Butterfly beginning on Tuesday, June 30th on iTunes and other digital service providers.
This week also sees the band’s latest single, 'Talk To Me', grab the position of #1 most added at active rock radio immediately following its release. See the video below.
The band will be performing their version of 'Highway Star' and 'Talk To Me' on the infield at the Coke Zero 400 in Daytona on July 4th (6:30 PM ET on TNT) in conjunction with their promotional partnership with Turner Sports’ NASCAR programming. Turner Sports’ previous musical pairings include ROLLING STONES (NASCAR), HINDER (NASCAR), BON JOVI (MLB), and many others.

This fall, Buckcherry joins KISS on their fall tour which is being routed through eventful.com/KISS, allowing fans to vote at the website through June 30th to “demand” what cities they want to see the tour hit. More than 8,000 cities and towns are already represented on the fan-submitted list.
“As an artist, there’s nothing better than knowing that our record label is as invested in our success as Eleven Seven is. Eleven Seven Music has proven itself and now joining forces with EMI Distribution, the band couldn’t be happier,” said Buckcherry’s Josh Todd.Allen Kovac, Founder and CEO of The Eleven Seven Music Group notes, “Our formula is to time our records for a career, activating the fan base directly and allowing the content to find its audience over a period of time. It was two years between 'Crazy Bitch' and 'Sorry' and we kept working, the band kept working and we had a hit. Julie Greenwald and her team are amazing, dedicated professionals and we appreciate all that they contributed to this band. We look forward to all of the possibilities we have in front of us with our new global distribution partner EMI Music.”
Black Butterfly debuted at #8 on the Top 200 chart as the highest debuting rock album and has produced four multi-format hits including the latest rock track, 'Talk To Me'. Buckcherry scored its first Top 10 single, 'Sorry', on the Hot 100 Billboard Chart in 2008, and in its 12-year career been best known for writing and performing anthemic rock songs.
