BW&BK's Martin Popoff On WJCU's Metal On Metal Program This Friday

BW&BK; Editor-In-Chief and noted rock journalist Martin Popoff will appear live on Bill Peters' WJCU Metal On Metal radio program this Friday, May 1, 2009 at 8 p.m. (EST). Popoff will be discussing his latest book entitled Gettin' Tighter: DEEP PURPLE '68 - '76. Over the years, Popoff has become one of Metal On Metal's most popular guests on the program with his outspoken and honest commentary.
"My listeners have a true love/hate relationship with Martin", says Peters. "He is fascinating to listen to with his unquestionable in-depth knowledge of music and an absolute pleasure to converse with on the program. He can also push people's buttons the wrong way when he says something they do not agree with. It seems everything he says is taken very seriously by my listeners. I can hardly wait for the response we will receive from my die-hard Blackmore fans when they hear Martin's observations on Deep Purple. I just finished reading his latest Deep Purple book. My favorite so far was his book on BLACK SABBATH. I learned a lot of facts about the band even someone as well versed as me did not know, especially in the years following Dio's first departure and before his "Dehumanizer" return. That was always a dark, under publicized era for the band."
