CAGE Introduce New Bassist

San Diego heavy metal stalwarts Cage have announced the addition of new bassist Alex “The Captain” Pickard to the permanent lineup. “When we learned that Dwight Magic could not commit to the heavy upcoming touring schedule we had built up, we went on a local search for the right guy," says vocalist Sean "The Hell Destroyer" Peck. "No disrespect to any of the past bass players we have had over the last 23 years, but Alex is quickly becoming my favorite. He really has it all with the chops, song-writing ability, and just wild rocking stage antics! It is great he was able to join us for all the great stuff we have coming up.” Alex also plays with Cage guitarist Casey Trask in the band Monarch, also based in San Diego, California.
Cage would like to thank departing bass player Dwight Magic for all of his great work. He continues to play in his band Detonated.
Cage is preparing for their 7th studio release Ancient Evil, a horror concept album based on the novel written by Sean Peck, on their new record label. A formal announcement and release date will be forthcoming soon.
