Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho, long known for avoiding social media like the plague, has posted the following update on Facebook:

"Good evening/morning ladies and muthafukkin gentlemen, I will do something stupid by posting this following pic. But I need to share something with you first my friends: I recently and finally was comfortable enough to make a desicion to be sober when I'm on the road. Mind you, I might have a Bud or two sometimes after the show. You know why? Well my friends, You don't even wanna know but when I'm on the stage, I just feel super mega hyper Red Bull crazy nowadays and need to share that with you other crazy metal Hate Crew maniacs!

That being said (again), when I finally got home I was handed a well deserved bottle of champagne and this extremely horrible/gay as shit see thru tank top. So without further ado, here's the pic, don't you judge me! And thank you for the the best seven weeks I've had since forever. Luv u all! Catch u later down on the trail. Horns up my friends!"

Laiho checked in again shortly after the picture above was posted:

"Haha!! Kinda wanna kick my own ass right now after what I posted last night, but that is one fuckin funny pic I must admit (and yes, I actually did wear that shit on the stage like 15 yrs ago... not a good look). But anyways, I need to make one thing clear, by Bud I meant the beer, not the other thingie. My fave is Blue Moon but it's kinda hard to come by in many countries or so it seems, so the good ole Budweiser works just fine. And yeah, I actually did quit drinking on the road and I gotta tell ya, not being hungover and feeling 110% on the stage is more addictive than the alcohol itself, so fuck that shit, no more. Horns up my friends!"
