Cradle of Filth guitarist, Richard Shaw, took to social media today to share the following message:
"On January 7th 1997, my brother and I had our first guitar lesson. Strange to think how my life would have turned out had I not wanted to play guitar. I owe everything to it. My passion turned in a hobby, which I'm fortunate enough to say turned into a career."
"Almost everyone I know has been because of music and playing guitar. Friends I would never have had the privilege of knowing."
"This is why it infuriates me when people say the arts don't matter. My life wouldn't be what it is without being given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, and the support given by family, friends, and teachers."
"Let's see what the next 25 years has in store."
