Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL have issued the following message:

"Ave everyone!

Apparently we are plagued by an imposter, mainly operating through MySpace and Facebook, but most likely on other similar forums too. This has now been going on for a couple of months. And at this point it has gotten so bizarre that we simply have to go out with a joint statement! This is not only causing problems for us, the band, but also our friends and fans who gets totally mislead and deceived by this very sick person. Let us make this quick, as we’re most definitely busy with way more important stuff.

1. E.M.Caligula is NOT married, nor have plans on getting married in the near future!

2. If you have been promised free Dark Funeral Merchandise during the past couple of months you’ve most likely dealt with the imposter.

3. If you have been offered a free spot on the guest list for any of our upcoming shows you most certainly dealt with the imposter.

4. If you have been offered to join a new musical project one of us is starting you most certainly dealt with the imposter (no new side-projects are in plans by anyone of us, at least not right now).

5. During the last couple of months all of us have been in Sweden at all times, (except for Dominator who currently lives “somewhere” else in Europe). If you’ve heard anything else, it’s all LIES!!!

The list of lies and shit spread by this imposter could probably go on forever, but let these few points serve as a warning sign at least.

Though keep in mind, that if you have been contacted by “someone” claiming to be one of us, a close friend, or an official representative for Dark Funeral, or whatever. Please check our official website at www.darkfuneral.se. If you can’t find that persons contact info there, you have most likely been in contact with the imposter. Or you may want to double check who you dealt with. We may also add that our much loyal and dedicated Street Team has been helping us out trying to clean up some of the mess the imposter has caused us and others. So if you’ve been contacted by one of them it’s all good.

We already know who this sick and deranged person is. And we have secured that person's IP address among other things. So if this insanity doesn’t stop immediately we will obviously be forced to take legal action."
