On December 30th, it was announced that iconic Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth cancelled a pair of sold out solo shows at House Of Blues inside Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 31st and January 1st. The official statement read:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances related to COVID and out of an abundance of caution for those working and attending the shows, the David Lee Roth performances scheduled for Dec. 31, 2021 and Jan. 1, 2022 have been cancelled. Refunds will be automatically processed, and ticketholders will be notified directly."
Now, David Lee Roth has cancelled the remaining seven nights of his nine-date farewell residency at House Of Blues Vegas. The shows on January 5, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22 will not happen. Ticket refunds are available at point of purchase.
According to KTNV, Nevada has seen an "alarming" surge of post-holiday COVID-19 cases, Gov. Steve Sisolak stated on Monday. Last week, Southern Nevada set a new record for daily COVID-19 infections, recording the highest single daily case count (3,363) since the pandemic started in January of 2020.
