Frontman Rigel Walshe of the New Zealand-based death/grind outfit DAWN OF AZAZEL has issued the following update:

"Presently we are recuperating, nursing our livers and catching up on sleep after returning from our Australian/New Zealand tour with DEICIDE. This has definitely been the most enjoyable and sickest tour we have been a part of. We played to over 3,600 people over the six shows. The crowd reaction was exceptional and was amazing exposure for us across the Tasman. We would like to send out 666 brutal hails and thanks to Soundworks Touring for hooking us up, as well as out tour mates in FUROR, ULCERATE and, most importantly, TERRORUST for all their help with musical matters and the consumption of alcohol. Last but not least we would like to thank Glen, Ralph, Steve and Jack (from Deicide) for being cool cunts to drink with on this tour. We hope to party with you guys again soon!

In other news, Dawn Of Azazel has been endorsed by DSL Straps from Australia. We are very impressed with their combination of quality craftmanship and unique and eye-catching design. We look forward to brutally testing their equipment on our upcoming tours and we have full confidence it will rise to challenge!

Lastly will be returning to Australia for a one off show on New Year's Eve at Switch in Melbourne. We look forward to sending out our most successful year with you, crazy Ozzie fuckkers! Early 2007 we will be playing three shows in the main centers here in New Zealand before supporting SUFFOCATION on their one New Zealand show on February 17th. Shortly after this we will be embarking on another major international tour in support of Sedition. Details to be announced very soon!"

Dawn Of Azazel's latest album, Sedition, was re-released in September with a video bonus track and distributed through RED/Megaforce Records/MIC via Ibex Moon Records. Sedition is also now available for download online through iTunes and mailorder through CD Universe.

Since completing a spring North American tour with INCANTATION and VITAL REMAINS, Dawn Of Azazel has been working on new material for the follow-up to Sedition.

We have already created four new tracks and we feel confident that this material will easily surpass our previous material in aggression, speed, and originality," said Walshe. "We aim to have another four by the end of January 2007, when we will begin the process of perfecting this material for recording late in 2007."
