hot flashes news down

DOWN guitarist Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR, VALUME NOB) has posted the following brief message in regards to the recordings for the band's forthcoming third album:

"Record's going great. Y'all are gonna freak - I am. It's cold as fuck; makes for better doom...

You ain't gonna be dead before the next Down CD. Things are on FIRE and we have a big point to prove here. The South shall always rise while we are at the helm!!

Long live the south. Kirk."

Stay tuned for further updates on the album.

As previously reported in an update from the band, the live version of the group's 'Ghosts Along The Mississippi' on their MySpace player is now downloadable. It was recorded on November 21st, 2002 in Washington, DC, the same day Down recorded their acoustic version of 'Stone The Crow' at the XM radio station.

There are also pictures of them recording in the studio that day, and playing live that night, here.
