ECHOES OF ETERNITY guitarist Brandon Patten is featured in a new interview found at this location. An excerpt is available below.
Q: What can you tell us about the writing and recording sessions?
Brandon Patton: "The recording experience was fucking incredible. Working with Logan Mader was a dream come true. Just listen to what he did with the most recent GOJIRA album! He’s an amazing mixer! And he really pushed us to get the best performances. The guy is a total pro and one of the best metal mixers out there! Just listen to As Shadows Burn compared to the last album! It's night and day."
Q: In your eyes/ears; how has the musical direction changed when comparing As Shadows Burn with The Forgotten Goddess?
Brandon Patton: "This album is far more aggressive. We have an amalgamation of ALL of our influences. A track like 'Twilight Fires' for example is DISSECTION / MORBID ANGEL influenced big time. We have something for every metalhead on this record. Killer riffs, amazing drumming and one of the best vocal performances you’ve ever heard. Francine really came into her own and delivered a fucking senstional and powerful vocal performance!"
