EVERGREY - Cancels Atlanta Again
April 24, 2009, 15 years ago
EVERGREY's rescheduled Atlanta, GA gig, May 29th, at The Masquerade has been cancelled and will not be made up.
Originally postponed from March 12th, in nearby Marietta, GA (as a stop-over on the way to Mexico), the band announced this now voided show as a make-up, but feels the forthcoming fall tour of North America (with FIREWIND in tow) will suffice, not to mention makes more financial sense than a couple of exclusive dates.
HoS Production, the people behind the successful ProgPower USA festival were responsible for trying to make these one-offs happen and offer the following explanation, "Sorry folks. We had planned a two week Southern tour for the guys next month. However, the opportunity to do a proper full US run in the fall has been presented to them. It makes no financial sense for them to make two trips across the pond in the same year with the current economic climate. They need to wait 'til the fall. We apologize for any problems, but the reality is that the band has to be able to survive these tough times without the risk of losing money."
