Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist JEFF YOUNG Announces Online Guitar Workshop - "I Will Be Teaching My Solo From 'Hook In Mouth'"

Former Megadeth guitarist Jeff Young has checked in with the following update:

"Okay, the cat's outta the bag! I will be teaching my solo from 'Hook In Mouth' off So Far So Good SoWhat' during my upcoming online guitar workshop. But that's only a part of what you'll learn...

I have an exciting and informative 45 minutes of guitar enlightenment in store for you on August 3rd. Have some note paper and a pencil handy. Have your guitar tuned to A standard 440 for the beginning of our workshop. Please tell any guitar playing friends how to join us online for this one-time exclusive workshop. We only have 8 more $10 tickets available! Thanks in advance for your interest and support!

To go to the show, ask a question in advance in the chat box, or leave an advance tip click here."

Young recently posted a clip of his new project Jeff Young & Sherri - featuring vocalist Sherri Klein - performing Tom Waits' "Temptation" live in Las Vegas:

Back In October 2013, Young and Klein announced details of two new studio tracks. An update reads: "We're treating our first release like the old 45 RPM singles with a Side A & B. Side A: Our first original is called, 'Come Closer' and features an amazing bass performance by James Lomenzo (Megadeth, Black Label Society) and Jeff Bowders (Paul Gilbert, Puddle Of Mudd) on drums. Band tracks were recorded in Los Angeles, live (like how bands used to record) to 2" analog tape. Lead vocals, guitar solos and mixing was completed with Bobby Ferarri at Vegas View Recording. Side B: 'Wild Horses' is our re-imagining of The Rolling Stones classic. This side features fretless bass by Ric Fierabracci (Stevie Wonder, Shakira) and Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, S.U.N.) on drums.

The tracks are recorded, mixed and ready for release. We're currently talking with some folks regarding the most appropriate release avenues. In the meantime, we just played our first show in Las Vegas at a benefit for the Mt. Charleston fires. We invite you have a look & a listen to our new live video, 'Funk #49 with Sean McNabb (Dokken) - bass and Scot Coogan (Ace Frehley, Lynch Mob) on drums."
