EXODUS - Let There Be Blood Songs Streaming Online
October 14, 2008, 16 years ago
EXODUS have posted two songs from Let There Be Blood on their MySpace page.
'A Lesson In Violence' and 'Metal Command' will be streaming online for a limited time, allowing fans a chance to officially test-drive the controversial re-recording of the 1985 thrash classic Bonded By Blood, titled Let There Be Blood, which hits streets this October 28th.
In addition Gary Holt, founding member and guitarist, has released a comment on recording 'Hell's Breath', a rare track from the band's 1980's demo. 'Hell's Breath' will be a bonus track included on the Let There Be Blood release: "When Tom and I finished the drum tracks for Let There Be Blood, we had a half a day of studio time left, we tried to come up with something to record with the spare time we had. One thing led to another, and next thing you know I started playing the opening riff to "Hell's Breath", which is when we both said "Hell Yeah!" Funny thing is, neither of us had played the song for two-plus decades, so we were going by memory on the exact arrangement of the song. It wasn't until I started deciphering my old lyrics from some live MP3's that a friend had sent me, that I realized we had gotten the original solo section wrong! Just slightly different, but overall, this one came out so killer, almost makes me want to track some more of those old classics!"
Produced by Gary Holt, Let There Be Blood was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, CA, JKZ Production Studio in San Rafael, CA with vocal tracks recorded at J. Rod Production Studios in New City, NY. Andy Sneap mixed and mastered the album at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, UK.
The release date for Let There Be Blood is October 28, 2008 through Zaentz Records which has US and European distribution.
