Finland's MY FATE Set To Issue New EP
July 30, 2007, 17 years ago
Finnish metallers MY FATE are about to release a new EP, MMVI. The band has been around for seven years and their earlier works include two EP's and two full-length albums. Everything has always been done at the band's own expense on their own record label My Fate Music.
MMVI is a new beginning for the band. Vocalist Antti Ojanen resigned last year and Jukka Ruostila was recruited for the job. MMVI is My Fate's first record with the new voice. The songs on the EP were mostly written when Ojanen was still a member, but the lyrics and final arrangements have been done with Jukka. The result is a very interesting mix of old and new. It is a look back, but also a step ahead.
With this release My Fate not only wants to be heard everywhere, but for the first time has what it takes to be acknowledged and respected throughout the metal world. With the new line-up, there is a completely new energy and chemistry within the band.
MMVI will be released in October on My Fate's website, free for everyone to download. However, a small digipak CD edition is being done first, mostly for promotional purposes. A very limited number of the CD edition will be sold, hand numbered, autographed and with extra material. This future collectible can be ordered right now on the band's website, www.myfateband.net.
