BraveWords.com has received the following update from California thrashers FLATLINE:

Flatline recently finished up a cover song of 'Hammer Smash Face' by CANNIBAL CORPSE. The track was recorded at NRG Studios in North Hollywood and was mixed by Josh Newell and mastered by Preston Boebel.

This is one of Cannibal Corpse?s biggest hits, the song was originally recorded in 1992 and is on the full-length album The Tomb Of The Mutilated.

Flatline's Joe Guerra had this to say "Some of the band came from a Death Metal background and we would jam 'Hammer Smash Face' at rehearsals. So during some downtime at the end of last year we decided to record it. I personally wanted to do 'Stripped Raped & Strangled' but Travis' vocals worked so well on 'Hammer Smashed Face'."

The track is only available to listen to on Flatline's MySpace page.
