FLAYED DISCIPLE Announce New Drummer; UK July Shows
June 25, 2013, 11 years ago
British thrash metal band FLAYED DISCIPLE are to tour for four dates around the UK with Norwegian death metal band BLOOD RED THRONE. Blood Red Throne have just released their latest self-titled album through Sevared Records and are coming to the UK as part of their European tour.
Flayed Disciple is now back on the road after the departure of original drummer, Phil Tolfree. They have replaced him with Rich Lewis; also of Welsh band INTENSIVE SQUARE. Writing for the follow up to 2012's Death Hammer is now in the pre-production stage, so a release is expected early 2014.
Guitarist Jon Whitfield commented: “Rich's first show with us was at this year’s Hammerfest, he was just a stand-in while we looked for someone to come in full time. He played a cool show and we got hammered together all weekend, so by the Sunday morning we were a full band again. The Blood Red Throne dates will be his first tour with us, so we're itching to playing some awesome gigs and show him what it's like to be on the road with Flayed Disciple.”
