Music fans will be left disappointed this week after an exclusive gig by former IRON MAIDEN band member Tony Moore (keyboards) was changed from a free gig to a press launch concert.
Rock fans were expected to turn out in force for the free concert to see the guitarist performing songs from his current album Perfect And Beautiful as well as hits from the past.
However, the gig at Booker's Wycombe Air Centre tomorrow is now being used to launch Tony's solo career in front of the country's music press. Tony, who has also played on world tours as a keyboard player for CUTTING CREW, had planned to fly into town to play the gig and raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Flying solo in a Cessna 172 SP aeroplane, the musician, promoter and newly qualified pilot, will be staging 15 exclusive performances over nine days.
Tom Green, a spokesman for Tony said: "As part of Tony Moore's Acoustic Airwaves tour he will be flying to and performing at 15 different airfields. The Wycombe Air Centre performance will be a press launch and the White Waltham Club House gig on August 19 is only open to members of the flying club. As a result, neither will be open to members of the general public.
"We would like to apologise if there has been any confusion over this matter and are offering ten of Tony's album Perfect and Beautiful as competition prizes for any disappointed fans."Read more here.
