According to a press release, Galy Records will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Friday November 23rd at the Theatre Plaza in Montreal (6505 St-Hubert St.). Five bands are scheduled to perform on stage, three album launches, two performances for one singer, 150 free CD?s will be distributed and a ton of decibels!

Doors: 7:00 pm Tickets are $10: advance, $15 at the door are on sale at: Profusion, Freeson, Admission.
The festivities are going to start at 7:00 pm with Point Blank Rage. Originating from Montreal, they will present their first album ?The Sound of Resistance? with Alexandre Leblanc on vocals (Neuraxis, Atheretic). Old school death metal for fans of Suffocation and Obituary.
Rimouski'?s Vortex will launch their second album called ?In Movement?. This offering was produced by Yannick St-Amand (DESPISED ICON, BENEATH THE MASSACRE) and mastered by Pierre Rémillard (CRYPTOPSY, GORGUTS). The new songs are a mix of death, thrash and pounding hardcore in the veins of HATEBREED and ARCH ENEMY.
Reanimator, these young Lanaudière thrashers will set the stage ablaze with their old school thrash/heavy metal. The band never stopped to gain positive reviews for their ?Thrashin? The Neighborhood? EP. The song ?Breathless Birth? will appear on the Québec Émergent 2007 compilation (get it for free at the GAMIQ ceremony and at the Salon de la Musique Indépendante of Montreal).
The symphonic/melodic metal masters Blinded by Faith continue their tour in support of their latest release ?Weapons Of Mass Distraction? during which they visited the western part of Canada and the Maritimes for the first time, as well as the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Moreover, the band released a live album and a DVD this past April. 2007 is without a doubt the most productive year for this band of the old capital.
Montreal'?s technical/extreme metal band Neuraxis will be headlining this special evening as they will launch their brand new ?Live Progression? album recorded earlier this year at l?Impérial (Quebec City). This is the fifth album for the band, their first live recording with new singer Alexandre Leblanc (Point Blank Rage, ATHERETIC) and guitarist William Seghers (ex-QUO VADIS). Relentless touring during 2006/2007, they played in Canada, two times in the U.S.A, Japan, Europe and a handful of concerts in Ontario and Quebec between the official touring schedule.
To showcase the label diversity and the talent of Quebec?'s very own, we gathered for this event five bands with musical differences, hailing from 4 different town of the province, two of them has been a part of Galy Records since its very beginning in 2002 (Neuraxis and Blinded by Faith), Vortex who joined the family in mid-2005 and two of the latest up and coming artists signed this year (Reanimator and Point Blank Rage).
