UK based label Grindethic Records has set a February, 2007 release for the sophomore album by German death metallers DEFEATED SANITY.
Psalms Of The Moribund contains the band's heaviest material yet and adds more brutal slamming elements and progressive compositions into the mix of flawlessly technical death metal. The crushing production courtesy of Jörg Uken at Soundlodge Studios (Rhauderfehn, Germany) has been mastered by Robbe K of DISAVOWED.
The album cover artwork (pictured) was drawn by German artist Ray and coloured by Grindethic's own mercenary Tom.
Psalms Of The Moribund features the following tracklisting: 'Stoned Then Defiled', 'Fatal Self Inflicted Disfigurement', 'Prelude To The Tragedy', 'Hideously Disembodied', 'Butchered Identity', 'Psalms Of The Moribund', 'Engorged With Humiliation' (MP3) 'Arousal Through Punishment', 'Artifacts Of Desolation'.
The band has been joined by bassist Jacob Schmidt (CEREBRIC TURMOIL) to complete a five-piece lineup for the recording, which is now as follows: Wolfgang Teske (guitar), Lille Gruber (drums), Jens Staschel (vocals), Christian Kühn (guitar), Jacob Schmidt (bass).
The group released it's debut album, Prelude To The Tragedy, in 2004 via Grindethic Records.
