GLENN DANZIG - "When The McFarlane People Did OZZY And He Had Muscles, It Was Like, Come On!"

DANZIG mainman Glenn Danzig spoke to Michael Christopher Zwire.com recently his limited edition toy figure series called The 3 Faces Of Danzig.
"They're pretty funny," he said of the 10-inch tall figures. "When they started sending over prototypes, I thought they were cool -- they weren't dorky looking, they were different; big head, little body, it was kinda cool." The three figures represent Danzig at different stages of his career; from the skull and crossbones t-shirt days of the Misfits to the theatrically blood-soaked stage persona in Samhain, and today, shirtless, wearing an upside down cross and a big horned skull belt-buckle.At about $75 a pop and available at Spencer's, Hot Topic and specialty comic book shops, the figures aren't cheap, but what a quality conversation piece to have.
"Obviously they're collector toys - but they're toys," Danzig said. "It's not like they're superheroes or anything, like when the McFarlane people did OZZY and he had muscles, it was like, come on!"
