HAMMERFALL's 'Natural High' Video To Debut On Headbanger's Ball This Saturday

HAMMERFALL's vampire-themed video for 'Natural High', a track off their latest album, Threshold, will debut on this week's episode of MTV2's Headbanger's Ball on Saturday, January 13th beginning at 7 PM PACIFIC / 10 PM EASTERN.
The idea for the video, which entered the Swedish singles chart at #6 in late September, was - according to Hammerfall founding member/guitarist Oscar Dronjak - "[drummer] Anders [Johansson]'s idea. He heard the song with the vocals the first time and immediately said, 'This HAS to be the single.' I didn't feel that at all in the beginning, and it took me a while to get on his side, but now I'm positive that we made the right decision."
"When all the vocal parts came together, it was the best choice," added vocalist Joacim Cans. "Every part is very catchy: the verse, pre-chorus, chorus, the bridge, the solo. Everything is there for a reason. It has good continuity."Known for dedicating themselves to preserving the genre of traditional heavy metal as inspired by metal's "golden era," Hammerfall was founded in 1993 by Dronjak and drummer Jesper Strömblad (now IN FLAMES' guitarist) in Gothenberg, Sweden. Drinking heavily from the well of high-octane twin-guitar work, clean vocal stylings, and classic-styled on-stage wardrobe, Hammerfall use the storytelling tradition to tell tales of honor and victory and to that end, band members have collaborated with the likes of Swedish Olympic athletes to the Swedish National Symphony Orchestra.
