HAWKWIND Confirmed For Sweden Rock Festival

The titans of space rock, the progenitors of stoner rock, and one of the prime cult bands of all time, HAWKWIND, are the latest act confirmed for the 2011 edition of the Sweden Rock Festival, set to take place from June 8th - 11th in Sölvesborg.
Hawkwind are also known as the main role models of MONSTER MAGNET, and for having influenced SEX PISTOLS as well as MINISTRY. Plus, obviously, as the band where Lemmy (Kilmister of MOTÖRHEAD) was a member long enough to sing on their biggest hit 'Silver Machine' (1972). After over 40 years, guitarist Dave Brock and cohorts are still very much active both on stage and in the studio. And few can rival Hawkwind when it comes to creating a psychedelic atmosphere. Just ask their many fans, some of the most fanatical in rock!
