HELIX mainman Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:

"This week I booked our flights to Rocklahoma, taught about 30 students, and was interviewed by several people. On Thursday, Randy and I left at 6A.M. from London to be in Hamilton for my interview on Y108 to help promote next week’s show in Delhi at the Belgium club. On Friday I was interviewed by Lisa for 980’s Everything About Pets show to help promote our benefit shows in September for the S.P.C.A. In between all of this I was playing tag with Aaron Murray on the phone. Aaron has been mixing the first couple of tracks at The A Room and then sending them to me by email.

Speaking of the benefit concert, I’m very happy with the donations we’ve received so far for our celebrity charity auction. This week we received notice from Gil Moore of TRIUMPH that he’s sending the Triumph box set plus DVDS/poster to us (signed) and we received a package from TROOPER in the mail containing two signed shirts and a signed poster. Thanks guys.

On Saturday I had another writing session with Sean (Kelly; bass, also CRASH KELLY) and Moe Berg (THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS) in Toronto at Sean’s place. Once again things were pretty casual, and once again we got a lot accomplished in a short period of time. The two songs we’re focusing on right now are 'Hung Over (But Still Hanging In)' and 'Vagabond Bones'."

Helix will perform at Rocklahoma which is taking place July 9th - 12th in Pryor, Oklahoma. The Canuck rockers will play on Friday, July 10th.
