HELIX - The Power Of Rock N' Roll Release Party Announced

HELIX mainman Brian Vollmer has issued the following update:
"I have been tossing around ideas for the past several months about where to have a release party for the new CD, The Power Of Rock N' Roll. We knew we wanted to have it somewhere in London, ON ‘cos that's where Planet Helix is, but we couldn't decide on the venue. The Eastside is actually an old country bar named J.R.'s . It's not too far from Planet Helix and is the perfect place to have the band do this-the room is shaped like a big shoe box. We're going to bring in a top of the line PA and some effects to boot. The show will only be us, and we'll be playing at 2PM Sunday afternoon. We plan on making this an afternoon to remember. Hope everyone can come out and celebrate with us. We'll be playing a 90 minute set with all the old hits plus songs from the new CD."Tickets for the Power Of Rock N' Roll Release Party are $10 Advance / $15 at the door

As previously reported, Helix have inked a Canadian deal with EMI for the release of The Power Of Rock N’ Roll. The label will issue the record on July 31st. The Power Of Rock n’ Roll is a combination of their recent Get Up! EP plus four brand new tracks: 'Fill Your Head With Rock', 'Nickels & Dimes', 'Livin’ Life Large' and 'Eat My Dust'.
