INTO ETERNITY Touring Vocalist Amanda Kiernan - "I Can't Believe That I Get The Honour To Take On Such An Amazing Opportunity"
March 21, 2012, 12 years ago
BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai recently caught up with INTO ETERNITY touring vocalist Amanda Kiernan (THE ORDER OF CHAOS), who is standing in for Stu Block while he's out with ICED EARTH. In the interview excerpt below, Kiernan discusses her feelings on replacing Block:
It really helped that I've been in my other band, The Order Of Chaos, for seven years, so it's almost like I got a head start. But then again, these Into Eternity vocals are a whole new level for me. It's very difficult but you can do anything you want to if you just put the time into it every day all day. I always say you need practice, practice, practice and passion. Even now, being the new touring singer, it's sureal to me. I can't believe all that hard work I did and this is actually happening. I proved to myself and everyone that I can do it all, but I couldn't have done it without all my family and friends, The Order Of Chaos, and Into Eternity."
Watch for the complete interview with Kiernan and Into Eternity guitarist/found Tim Roth, coming soon.
Footage from Kiernan's first live show with the band, on February 24th at Manitoba Metalfest 2012, is available below:
As previously reported, Into Eternity have released their new single 'Fukushima'. The track was written about the Fukushima Daiichi, Japan nuclear disaster, a series of equipment failures, nuclear meltdowns, and releases of radioactive materials at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant following the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011. The song talks about the struggles involved, and the amazing ability of the Japanese people to overcome such a tragedy.
The song was Engineered, Mixed and Mastered by Justin Bender at Touchwood Studios in Regina, SK. It is available to stream and purchase at this location.
