The much awaited documentary titled IRON MAIDEN – Flight 666 was launched on Thursday.
An Iron Maiden tribute night was held at the venue in association with Furtados to mark this special occasion.
The show featured explosive performances by four of India’s foremost metal bands, namely KRYPTOS, SLAIN, BHOOMI and FAHRENHEIT. The bands exclusively covered Iron Maiden songs which included hits like ‘Aces High’, ‘Trooper’, ‘Two Minutes to Midnight’, ‘Running Free’ and ‘Fear Of The Dark’.
The feature-length documentary follows the British heavy metal legends on the first leg of their Somewhere Back In Time World Tour 2008, considered by critics as the most adventurous tour in rock history. Navigating the globe, the band flew in a specially customised Boeing 757 carrying the band, crew and 12 tons of equipment. The airliner named Ed Force One was piloted by the band’s front man Bruce Dickinson.
