February 10, 2011, 13 years ago
A new five-CD box set called THE YARDBIRDS: Glimpses 1963-68 is due out soon via Easy Action, fully licensed by EMI, BBC and the Yardbirds.
The set has taken five years to compile and features an "amazing set of recordings of the Yardbirds live in concert or taken from broadcasts of various sources around the globe," according to a press release.
For LED ZEPPELIN fans, Jimmy Page can be heard on early versions of 'Dazed And Confused' and 'White Summer', along with interview segments.
Glimpses 1963-68 features in-depth notes by original compiler and author of Yardbirds book The Ultimate Rave-Up Greg Russo, along with unseen and rare photos.
