Oxford Mail is reporting that the former home of Deep Purple keyboard legend, Jon Lord, is up for sale. Lord lived in Burntwood Hall in Goring-on-Thames in the 1980s.

The eight bedroom property, which is now on the market with a guide price of £8.5million, was the inspiration for the song "Burntwood" which appeared on Lord’s debut solo album, released in 1982.

The country house, which comes with a bowling alley, games room and cinema room, is in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Jon Lord, a cricket enthusiast, also installed a cricket pitch, pavilion and scoreboard at the front of the house, while other later additions include a gym, sauna, tennis court and swimming pool area with outdoor kitchen and pizza oven.
