JORDAN RUDESS Celebrates DREAM THEATER Grammy Nomination With Piano Performance Livestream Video

The 2022 Grammys Awards show, officially known as the 64th Grammy Awards, is just around the corner. The Recording Academy recently announced the nominations for each of the 86 categories.

AC/DC are nominated in three categories - "Best Rock Performance" for "Shot In The Dark", "Best Rock Album" for Power Up, and "Best Music Video" for "Shot In The Dark".

Competing in the "Best Metal Performance" category are Deftones, Dream Theater, Gojra, Mastodon, and Rob Zombie.

Elsewhere, Wolfgang Van Halen is nominated in the "Best Rock Song" category as writer for Mammoth WVH song, "Distance". Foo Fighters are up for three awards, while Chris Cornell is nominated posthumously in two categories.

Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess celebrated the band's nominated with a livestream piano performance. Check it out below.

The Recording Academy will present the 2022 Grammy Awards on Monday, January 31, on the CBS Television Network and stream live and on demand on Paramount+ from 8 - 11:30 PM, ET / 5 - 8:30 PM, PT. Prior to the telecast, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony will be held at the Microsoft Theater at 12:30 PM, PT/3:30 PM, ET and will be streamed live on Grammy.com and the Recording Academy's YouTube channel.
