KISS frontman Paul Stanley recently guested on Inside With Paulo Baron for an in-depth interview. He discusses KISS and their End Of The Road tour, Stanley's other band Soul Station, his love of soul music, and more.

On his love of soul music

Stanley: "I love that music because it wasn't perfect. It was passionate, and passion doesn't need perfection. Perfection can get in the way. A lot of themusic today, as good as it is, is perfect because it's done with computers. The music back then was done with human beings, flesh and blood, playing instruments, and not always perfectly. If you listen to some of those original records, part of what makes them so great is a guitar may be a little out of tune, the horns may not be perfect. Listen to Led Zeppelin, the first an second albums; there are all kinds of mistakes but that's what made them amazing. It was not going to sacrifice emotion to get something perfect. I think all the greatest music takes risks and doesn't try to be perfect."

Celebrating the success of one of the most iconic bands of all time, KISS will take the stage for a special performance at the 2021 Tribeca Festival in New York City. For the first time ever, the band will perform at the festival directly following the screening of Part One of their new A&E documentary, Biography: KISStory. The two-part documentary event is part of the Festival’s 2021 TV lineup.

Founding members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons will be joined by current band members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer for a multi-song, live, performance at the event. The concert, at a currently undisclosed location, is announced on the heels of the news of the definitive A&E documentary Biography: KISStory which is set to premiere with a two-night event on June 27 and June 28 from 9 - 11 PM, ET.
