M.ILL.ION Issue Post-Tour Update
December 23, 2008, 16 years ago
Swedish melodic rockers M.ILL.ION check in with the following update from bassist B.J Laneby:
"Ciao! We're back in Sweden after an adventurous tour in Italy.
In general: Some organisational and (boring musician related) technical problems here and there but as a whole the band rocked and personally I had loads of fun on stage (sometimes even off).
The Italian dates were the first gigs with Staffan (Österlind) on guitar and he was brilliant. Great musician, cool guy and the supplier of the worst films ever.
The fans showing up at each gig were great. Devoted great people! We really appreciate your warm attitude and great reactions - your singing was loud! A lot of autographs were signed and a lot of pictures were taken. Please send over if you read this and shot any pics!
One great moment was when we joined SOUL DOCTOR on stage at the Sototetto Club singing the KISS classics 'Rock And Roll All Nite' and 'Shout it Out Loud' together for Emiliano (Bologna Rock City) as a birthday suprise. Imagine me (certainly not a singer) and Tommy Heart (truely great singer) behind the lead mike..:-)
I know a lot of pics were taken, just hope it wasn't recorded :-) Anyway: Fun!
Unfortunately the gigs at Rock City (Uster) in Switzerland and the Rock Club (Gorizia) had to be cancelled due to the extremely bad weather. Heavy snowing and tons of rain just made it impossible for us to reach those cities. We're sorry for that, but this was of course completely out of our hands and we hope to be able to reschedule those dates at a later stage.
Big thanks go out to Tony at Il Peocio in Torino - you crazy great man!, the great Motorockas guys, Soul Doctor (let's catch up), HUNGRY HEART (good luck – great opening act in Mozzate) Emiliano at Bologna Rock City for arranging the first ever Italian dates, Kajsa (hugs) and not the least our support band during the whole tour: POLLUTION. Friendlier and more helpful people You couldn't meet, we really appreciate it! Best of luck guys and not the least: Skål and Olla!!!
Absolutely no thanks to Ryan Air and to the Italian bank system."
