M.ILL.ION Issue Reflections On Rock Over Munich Festival Appearance
February 10, 2009, 15 years ago
Swedish melodic rockers M.ILL.ION performed at the Rock Over Munich festival at Metropolis in Munich, Germany on January 31st.
The band have since issued the following from bassist B.J Laneby:
"Just wanted to share some reflections on the Rock Over Munich Festival in Germany last week. We had a blast! The venue was packed and we played 70 minutes including songs from most of the albums. We are aware there was some sound problems and we sure had them onstage as well believe me… But what the hell…This was the first time in Munich and we felt very welcome! Looking out at the crowd from the stage and meeting all those smiles and so many people knowing the lyrics was truly inspiring.
The aftershow autograph signings never ended and meeting so many fans with the whole M.ILL.ION catalogue was awesome. I saw several items I've never seen before and having been in the band from the start collecting our stuff through history, that's strange but hey - very cool! The truly great thing was to see the whole spectra of people that are into us: small kids, teenagers, great women, rock 'n rollers, troopers in wheelchairs, AOR freaks, metalheads, guys and girls travelling all the way from Italy, Austria, Switzerland, UK, BeNeLux, Scandinavia etc. Thank You to The Rock 'n Roll Nation.
This is exactly why we do what we do!!!....
We tip our hat to the organisers including Birgitt at Germusica and Georg at our label plus the whole crew of people working with and for them, taking care of us. Also a big hello to all the other bands on the bill: Cool vibes, no prestige and many laughs.
We've been sent a lot of photos from the show, cheers to that!!! Some of them You can now see in the Pics section on our MySpace site. If You are reading this and have photos, on and off stage please get in touch!"
