April 18, 2023, a year ago
Britain's Official Charts is reporting that Metallica are on track for their fourth UK #1 album - and first in nearly 15 years - with their 11th studio record, 72 Seasons.
The band previously reached the top of the Official Albums Chart with three other LPs; Metallica (1991), Load (1996) and Death Magnetic (2008). See Metallica’s Official Charts history in full here.
Metallica’s 72 Seasons was released on April 14 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track 72 Seasons is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s Hardwired…To Self-Destruct.
