MORPHEUS RISING - New Single To Support Help For Heroes, Poppy Appeal
October 22, 2009, 15 years ago
MORPHEUS RISING are a five-piece rock act from York, England, whose music is a fresh take on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, the classic British twin guitar rock sound made famous by the likes of IRON MAIDEN and DEF LEPPARD, dragging it kicking and screaming to the new age.
Having released an uncharacteristic single, the acoustic An Ordinary Man, in aid of Help For Heroes in October 2008 the band went on to capitalise on the extensive radio airplay on independent and internet radio stations around the world by releasing their demo EP, The Original Demos 2008, in December of that year. This release, including the first five demos recorded by the band, has sold consistently through outlets such as iTunes and also in CD format from the band’s own online store. Using all of the tools available in this new era for the music industry the band have established an extensive fanbase throughout the UK and beyond with consistent hits from Europe and the continental United States.
Having gigged extensively throughout the Summer, the band will release their second single, 'Fighting Man', in aid of Help For Heroes and the Poppy Appeal on November 2nd.
