MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist NIKKI SIXX - "There Is An Overwhelming Response To The Heroin Diaries"
May 29, 2007, 17 years ago
MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist NIKKI SIXX issued the following update:
In NYC doing business for the Heroin Diaries book and soundtrack. There is an overwhelming response to all of it. So much support for this positive project. I'm very proud of this, the music, the book and all the high level partners who are coming to the table in support. The only downside is lack of sleep, but what’s new. Leaving for Zurich for a rehearsal with Mötley Crüe in a few hours and then nine shows in Europe. It looks like I might be able to take a day and go to Transylvania to do photography. Kelly Gray is gonna join me and Kimo since she’s coming to London for us to have meetings with retail for Royal Underground (were rolling out a woman’s collection and jewelry soon). Sitting in these meeting's playing the Heroin Diaries soundtrack album top to bottom and seeing people’s jaws hit the floor is the most satisfying feeling I've had in years on a musical level. Thank you all for supporting this."
As previously reported, The Heroin Diaries, hits stores September 25. An e-card that contains an excerpt from the first chapter where Nikki talks about his love/hate relationship with his dealer was released recently. The book chronicles a year in the life of Nikki Sixx with each chapter telling the story of another month. The e-card also features the first single 'Life is Beautiful' - you can view the video here. All proceeds from the book and the soundtrack are going to Nikki's charity, Running Wild In The Night - a charity that Nikki set up with the Covenant House to help get kids off the street and into music. For more info on Running Wild In The Night go to this location. Check out the eCard here.
