Former QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE/KYUSS bassist NICK OLIVERI AND THE MONDO GENERATOR have signed with Suburban Noize Records for the release of the forthcoming new album, Dead Planet: Sonicslowmotiontrails.

"I'm really excited about signing with Suburban Noize. They have a cool street credibility and they are the real deal,” says Oliveri. “Everyone I've talked to at Sub Noize is on top of what they're trying to do. Mondo Generator couldn’t ask for a better home.”

Mondo Generator’s new album will land in stores on July 17, 2007, just days after Oliveri and the band kick off their summer long stint on Ozzfest 2007 tour.

“I can't wait to sweat and bleed with the Ozzfest crowds! I did the main stage with Queens of the Stone Age in 2000. I remember thinking the 2nd stage was much more intimate,” remembers Oliveri. “General admission, no seats, mosh pits, beer, girls, sun and Mondo Generator will be bringing some loud, fast, heavy, sludge to compliment. Let’s get it on!"

Dead Planet: Sonicslowmotiontrails was recorded by producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER, SYSTEM OF A DOWN) at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606

Nick Oliveri rose to stardom during the early '90s as a member of the highly influential stoner-rock legends Kyuss and as the driving forces behind Queens of the Stone Age. Mondo Generator was originally formed by Oliveri in 1997. Initially intended as a side-project, the classic Cocaine Rodeo album was recorded that same year, but shelved until the Southern Lord label released it and its unique brand of criminal insanity to widespread acclaim in 2000. The group returned with A Drug Problem That Never Existed in 2003 on former FAITH NO MORE frontman Mike Patton’s Ipeac Records.
