NJ's Non-Fiction, who released 3 full lengths and an EP from 1990-1994, scheduled a one night reunion show Saturday, November 7th at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. Vocalist Alan Tecchio, guitarist Dan Lorenzo, drummer Mike Cristi and bassist Kevin Bolembach performed songs from their 3 CDs - Preface, In The Know, and It's A Wonderful Lie.
Non-Fiction formed after HADES broke up in 1989. Lorenzo originally hooked up with vocalist/guitarist Dan Nastasi from MUCKY PUP before Tecchio moved back to Jersey from Texas and his stint with WATCHTOWER. Around that time, Nastasi formed DOG EAT DOG.
Non-Fiction added Bolembach (drummer Cristi was already in place) and performed shows throughout the US and Europe. They released 2 CDs rather quickly, shot to #1 on WSOU for months at a time and started touring.
In 1993 Non-Fiction opened an American tour with OVERKILL, then flew to Europe as openers for both Overkill and SAVATAGE. Their video for the song 'Reason To Live' was featured on MTV's Headbangers Ball and can be seen below.
