The 2009 installment of the Inferno Festival will take place in Oslo, Norway from April 8th - 11th at the following venues: Rockefeller, John Dee, Sentrum Scene, Garage, Rock In and Blå. 40 artists will appear at the event in total.

Organizers have confirmed two more acts: Dutch death metal legends PESTILENCE and VICIOUS ART.

Their appearances are described as follows:

Pestilence: "Patrick Mameli, Tony Choy, Patrick Uterwijk and new guy Peter Wildoer will be releasing a new album early next year, titled Resurrection Macabre, that according to main man Mameli will be 'more tech and way more brutal than ever before.' We can’t wait to be aurally maimed and abused by these guys next year!"

Vicious Art: "There’s something wonderful about swedes and death metal - especially when you combine the two. With ex-members of DARK FUNERAL, GRAVE and ENTOMBED you know you’ll get your dose of the good stuff. Since their initiation in 2002 they’ve released two albums, their sophomore album Pick Up This Sick Child was released in 2007 (EU release) through Mighty Music."

CARPATHIAN FOREST, KEEP OF KALESSIN, TROLL and UNEARTHLY TRANCE are also confirmed for the festival.
