Lithuanian pagan metallers OBTEST plan to record their next album in a famous Polish studio.

The band is ready for a jump in quality on their new album, and want to record in professional, world class studio. The band's label, Ledo Takas Records, got in touch with Hertz studio in Bialystok last year, but it was not until this April that studio was available. The band will now enter the studio in mid-April.

Guitarist Sadlave states: "It will be a very serious challenge for the band, and so far it is quite hard to foresee the end result, as we are used to a sound we create ourselves, but it’s the very time to resolve for this step – Obtest have matured for new heights."

The new album will be entitled Gyvybes Medis (The Tree Of Life). All music and most of the lyrics for the effort are already written. Apart the title track, some other titles include: 'Šviesa' ('Light'), 'Apeigos' ('Ceremonial'), 'TaiNe Pabaiga' ('It’s Not The End').

Gyvybes Medis is expeccted to be released in fall, 2007.
